yes there is the hype, but the idea is sound, no? implemented correctly, computers and the internet *could* lead to nigh-pseudo-omniscience; the clumsy looking prototype in the video is just a very primitive example of what we could one day have.
the important part is not the camera or the projector, it’s getting the internet’s wealth of information to be context-sensitive and immediate.
