How to buy or start an online dating website?
Hello I am interested in starting up an online dating website does anyone know of anyplace where I can purchase an online dating website or how I would go about making one thank you very much for your help!!!
I really wonder, why people who have 0 knowledge of something bother to post and answer?
You don’t need millions and you don’t have to be a programmer.
There are plenty of cheap and even some free scripts that you can install and have a dating website in no time.
Your problem is not creating the site, but rather getting people to use it.
There are thousands of dating websites out there and unless you pick a niche that has little competition, your chances of success are quite small.

You’d have to spend tens of millions of dollars to buy one. Match.com was sold in 1999 for $50 million when online dating sites were really just starting. These days you’d probably have to pay over $100 million if you wanted to buy an existing site
You’d start an online dating site the way you’d start any online business. You need to come up with a business plan, figure out how much you are going to charge, market and advertise the site through tv ads, website banner ads, PR, etc. You also need lots of legal advice with regards to privacy, personal safety, how to protect people from scammers/predators, etc. It’s not going to be cheap and difficult to stand out against the big sites already out there unless you can come up with some unique selling point
Niche sites are the future. There are too many general sites like match.com, eharmony.com, yahoo personals, etc. But plenty of people don’t want millions of others they are not interested but want niche sites – whether by religion, race, physical appearance (Big Beautiful Women (BBW), Tall Men), occupation, fetishes, geography, etc
For example, an African American friend of mine is attracted mainly to white men. But on sites like match.com she found very few white men ever contacted her. So she registered for a dating site specifically for interracial dating. Another woman I know who is plus size had no luck on mainstream sites so she found a BBW site.
